OTTERY St Mary celebrated the opening of brand new police station last Thursday.

The Broad Street base was opened to the public as part of a police open day.

Local hero Lloyd Gardner did the honours as he cut police tape alongside neighbourhood beat manager PC Phil Thomas and Chief Superintendent Jo Tennant.

The Old Convent station features the town's first ever 'front of house' police clerk, who will be on hand to deal with enquiries on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
