ROAD safety is a major worry for Ottery residents, say the town's police.
Officers spent a 'high-profile' day speaking to townsfolk last Wednesday and dished out warnings a driver not wearing a seatbelt and another caught using mobile phones behind the wheel during an hour and a half operation in Mill Street.
Neighbourhood policing team members also monitored vehicle speed in Alfington and Fairmile.
Town beat manager Phil Thomas said the ream will continue with a series of operations aimed boosting road safety.
