The annual Ottery Santa fun run attracted more than 45 entrants this year – despite coronavirus restrictions hampering the event.
Instead of the mass start to the run, entrants were organised in groups of six with staggered starts.
Of the 47 entrants who took part, 17 were children.
The event is organised by the Rotary Club of Ottery and a spokesman for the Rotarians said they felt it was important to put on an event in the town to offer people the chance to use Ottery, its shops and enjoy the decorations and riverside areas.
Club president Max Barnish added: “The Rotary Club of Otter Valley wishes all residents a happy, enjoyable and safe Christmas and we hope to be back with our full programme in 2021 supporting the town and its residents and raising money for local charities.”
