SEPTEMBER crime in Ottery dropped in comparison to last year, but calls to police went up.
SEPTEMBER crime in Ottery dropped in comparison to last year, but calls to police went up.
Eleven crimes were recorded in the town last month in comparison to 19 in the same period last year.
Calls from residents to police rose however, from 68 to 82.
Neighbourhood beat manager PC Phil Thomas said reported crimes included three assaults.

As violent crime rose slightly, burglaries and vehicle crime plummeted with no reported incidents.
A cash card was stolen from a wallet at the Coleridge Medical Centre and a Wiggaton homeowner was left hopping mad after several ornamental toad stools were stolen from their property.
A man from Taunton was also given a warning over possessing cannabis in the Land of Canaan.
