OTTERY'S young music talent will be on show at The King's School on Wednesday as the Rotary Club of Otter Valley hosts its Youth Presents Music event.

More than 100 schools have been invited to take part in the evening of music on Wednesday (March 4), which has been running for seven years, and will see students perform, either as individuals or as part of a band, group or choir.

Rotarian Chis Pink said: "The emphasis of the evening will be on providing a great opportunity for young talented musicians to perform in front of an audience. In addition to this, the most excellent performances will be rewarded with prizes donated by local businesses and the Rotary Club.

Presentation of prizes to the younger entrants will be made prior to the interval to enable them to get away at a reasonable hour.

A listening panel will look at specific aspects of performances such as presentation, accuracy of notes, quality of playing and/or singing and the 'tingle factor'.

All entrants will be handed a certificate for performing.see next week's Herald for photos of the event.
