ABBOTTS DIY have started recycling water filter cartridges through manufacturers Brita.
The store, in Jesu Street, has a collection bin so customers can bring in their used cartridges.
Jeff Abbott said: "Recycling is becoming ever more important, and the more items we can recycle rather than sending to landfill the better, this is a unique scheme and one that Abbotts is very proud to be part of.
