An Ottery student is hoping to raise enough money to go to Africa and build playgrounds for some of the world’s most disadvantaged children.

Chloe Jackson has until the end of the month to raise the final £700 towards her £2,000 target.

The 20-year-old is supporting East African Playgrounds, which builds play equipment for youngsters who otherwise would not have access to them. To achieve her target she has organised a car boot on the Finnimore Estate on May 13, from 10am.

Chloe said: “I would love it if I can make a difference to just one child’s life in the world, and I believe that raising money to take part in this trip will improve the quality of life for many Ugandan children.”
