POLICE have renewed an appeal for information in the hunt for the person whose actions saw a Tar Barrels explosion fireball injure innocent bystanders.
Detectives said this week someone must have a vital clue that can lead them to the culprit who threw an incendiary device, believed to be a pressurised canister or aerosol, into a barrel near the town's factory site on November 5.
Honiton CID has launched a full scale operation over the incident, and Detective Constable Chris Willsdon said one glint of information could "snowball" and result in the culprit's capture. He urged witnesses to contact police.
DC Willsdon said: "There were thousands of people there but we've not really had much information coming back.
"So many spectators had mobile phones in the air, there would have been several people around whoever threw the item.
"We just need that one little bit of information somebody somewhere has got, someone can tell us something. It may not be immediately, but we hope they do."
