Picnic baskets and bikes galore marked the launch of Ottery St Mary’s Tour of Britain celebrations.
Members of the community gathered on The Land of Canaan on Sunday for a special cycle-themed party with entertainment and prizes to honour the first time the town has been selected to host the world-famous race.
World class riders, including Olympic champion Sir Bradley Wiggins and silver medallist Mark Cavendish, will ride through Ottery after leaving from Sidmouth on Friday, September 9.
Sunday’s community picnic celebrations marked the start of a fun-packed week of events.
