OTTERY town councillor Dr Robert Baker has resigned from his post.

OTTERY town councillor Dr Robert Baker has resigned from his post.

Dr Baker, who will be returning to clinical practise, cited the a lack of free time and commitments to his career, recently flooded home and young family in his reasons for giving up his civic duties.

Mayor Glyn Dobson thanked him serving the people in his Ottery North ward and praised the work and projects he was involved in, which included the provision of new railings in the town, a questionnaire over a late night street-light switch off and attempts to secure children's play facilities and the East of Ottery and Alfington.
