OTTERY'S award-winning Venture Scouts are looking forward to getting to work on a brand-new float this summer after a successful coffee morning earlier this month.
The event raised �163 for the scouts, who's jungle-themed exploits bagged six first place prizes on last year's East Devon carnival circuit.
Group member Claire Luxton said the cash "will go a long way" towards paying for a new float but was keeping tight-lipped on what this year's theme might be.
