TWO men have been charged with shoplifting from Sidmouth’s Waitrose store.
One man, in his early-50s, and another in his mid-20s, were caught as they left town on Tuesday. They have been charged with committing five shoplifting offences between them. Shop staff and customers noticed them taking food and alcohol and alerted the police. The vehicle the pair, not local, were caught in was seized due to the driver having no insurance. A police spokesman thanked staff and customers for their efforts.
