ANYONE who wants to be part of Beer Panto People’s 2011 production can check out the script now.

The script for Sleeping Beauty is available from Beer Village Store. Auditions will be held at Mariners Hall on Sunday, September 12 at 7.30pm. Doors open 7pm. The show will be staged Thursday to Saturday of February half-term. From September to Christmas rehearsals will be on Sunday evenings at Mariners Hall, then on Monday evenings as well from Christmas until panto week.

Group members picked the production at the annual meeting in April. Anyone, aged 10 to 90, is welcome to get involved, especially 16-40 year-olds.

Vice-chairman and panto director Audrey Tims said: “We not a professional outfit, but a group of enthusiastic amateurs who do it for fun.”

And if you don’t want to tread the boards, you could maybe help paint scenery, or make props and costumes.

This year’s production of Peter Pan was a sell-out on the Saturday. “It was absolutely brilliant,” said Audrey, who’s been with the group 26 years.

Anyone who doesn’t want to be involved after reading the script should return the scripts to the Village Store. Those who want to participate, but can’t make the audition can call Audrey on (01297) 20048 after Monday, September 6.
