OTTERY St Mary Community Theatre's traditional pantomime promises to entertain townsfolk in January.
This year's production, 'A Lad in Ottery' has been penned by 15 year-old Alex Davies and tells the traditional tale of Aladdin with an East Devon twist.
Director Gillian Coley said: "It is the tale of Laddie, a penniless son of Dame Ofya Trolley, who is offered his heart's desire -the hand in marriage of Princess Jazzberry- if he retrieves the Golden Lottery Ticket from the Supermarket of Wonders.
"Inside the Golden Lottery Ticket resides the Genie who can make wishes come true. But whose wishes will the Genie grant?"
