Paramedics called to Radway Cinema

PARAMEDICS from Devon Air Ambulance and Sidmouth SW Ambulance crew were quickly on the scene at Radway Cinema this afternoon (Thursday) after a woman of 75 with a heart problem was taken ill.

PARAMEDICS from Devon Air Ambulance and Sidmouth SW Ambulance crew were quickly on the scene at Radway Cinema this afternoon (Thursday) after a woman of 75 with a heart problem was taken ill.

The air ambulance crew circled the town centre before landing on the rugby ground adjoining Sidmouth Victoria Hospital.

After checking with land crews, the patient was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, Wonford, by road, leaving the helicopter attracting sightseers while on standby.
