A group of 50 parents and children was treated to a delicious sit down meal in St Teresa’s Hall last week.
Naomi Hogg, the pastoral assistant at Sidmouth’s Roman Catholic church and one of the organisers, said: “Everyone knows the pressures of being a parent and so the chance to sit down to a meal cooked by someone else, cleared away and washed up was a welcome break for a group of parents with their children.
“Marvellous Monica Walton ably assisted by the ever cheerful Beryl Evans put together the delicious dinner.
“The next parents’ night off event is already being planned for early February so keep your eyes peeled for the posters and fliers around the town and be sure to follow the contact details to book yourself and your family a place at the table!”
The group enjoyed baked potatoes with a choice of fillings, followed by ice cream for the children and apple pie and cream for the adults. All went down ‘an absolute treat’.
