THE deadline for commenting on controversial plans for pay and display parking meters in Sidmouth is looming.
Devon County Council’s plan to install around 10 meters in areas including High Street, Fore Street, Church Street, and Fortfield Terrace have been slammed as the “death knell” for Sidmouth by town councillors.
The draft traffic order, plan and statement of reasons can be viewed at Sidmouth Library, Blackmore Drive, and at Area East Highway Management, Little Moor House, Falcon Road, Sowton Industrial Estate, Exeter or at www.devon.gov.uk/traffic-orders.
Objections and comments must reach the County Solicitor, Devon County Council, County Hall, Exeter, EX2 4QD or be submitted at www.devon.gov.uk/traffic-orders by Friday, December 10.
