Phone stolen in broad daylight from van parked in Sidmouth town centre

A mobile phone was stolen from a delivery van in broad daylight while it was parked in Sidmouth town centre.

A thief broke into a blue-green Renault vehicle at about 2pm on Tuesday.

The van was parked in Market Place.

Police say a white male, who is around 5ft 6-7ins tall, is being sought in connection with the crime. He is described as having a stocky build and was said to be wearing a red/white bomber-style jacket.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following the theft.
