Hundreds join in the Boxing Day Swim
Hundreds of people, many in fancy dress took the plunge at Sidmouth on Boxing Day for the annual swim. In perfect conditions and watched by thousands of spectators from the promenade the swimmers, dressed in all manner of guises from superheroes to characters from the Hobbit who even brought with them a huge smoke breathing dragon, dashed the short distance down the beach into the waves.
