Sidmouth’s traditional Good Friday event
Hundreds of people queued on the Bedford Lawn car park in glorious early summer sunshine on Good Friday for the annual hot cross bun giveaway. Children waited with their parents and grandparents who many remember collecting the buns themselves as children. Baker Martin Kerridge, whose business has been supplying the hot cross buns for more than thirty years declared the popular event open and handed out the first bag containing two buns, a chocolate egg and an orange to seven year old Annabelle Pyne who was first in the queue. See next week’s Sidmouth Herald for more images in a picture special.
