The cool water of the sea at Sidmouth did not deter the hardy souls who took part in the Boxing Day swim.
Hundreds of swimmers at Sidmouth took to the sea on Boxing Day for the festive dip.
Many more hundreds of spectators enjoyed the event as the swimmers, some in fancy dress costumes sprinted down the shingle to the water.
