Planting effort at Alma Field

Year eight students from Sidmouth College braved the bad weather to plant a hedge along a stretch of the town’s coast.

Youngsters were joined by Rotary club members and representatives from Sidmouth Arboretum and the district council for the project at Alma Field.

All the species planted are said to be salt-resistant and included buckthorn and dogwood.
