Protesters march on EDDC headquarters
Around 4,000 people gathered at the eastern end of the Sidmouth seafront on Saturday morning to march to the East Devon District Council headquarters at the Knowle. The event organised and speaheaded by the Save Our Sidmouth (SOS) group was expected to attract around 1,000 people but they were amazed by the total turnout. People from across East Devon many carrying banners, joined the march to urge the District Council to ‘think again’ over future development proposals.
