BEER Sunday School Pilots performed their nativity play in front of a packed audience last week.

The Nativity Service was held on Sunday, December 21 at Beer Congregational Church.

The service was by candlelight while the Pilots re-told the Christmas story.

Solo parts were sung by Jessica Boulton, who played Angel Gabriel, Jessica Clinch, who was the Inn Keeper, Alice Fitzhenry as Joseph and Kadi Pidgeon as Mary, while Annabel Jackson narrated the play from the pulpit.

The Shepherds, Ethan Gribble and Jay Hills, were kept busy watching their flocks by a warm fire and acted very frightened when the angels, Mia Bartlett, Tabbitha Hills and Lilly Fitzhenry, appeared before them.

The kings, Mia and Matt Bartlett and Eddie Dommett, and their treasures followed the star, Poppy Greig, to find baby Jesus.

The donkey, Molly Clinch, played an important part of walking with Mary and Joseph as well as helping the shepherds with their sheep.

Poems were read by Poppy Greig and Laura Jackson and readings were told by Lilly Fitzhenry and Mia Bartlett.

The Sunday School meet every Sunday at 10am-11am and every child is welcome.
