Pecorama has hailed Sunday’s Pirate Day as a ‘rip-roaring success’.
Seaton Drama Group played to the delighted crowds, both young and old, with a series of ‘Piratical’ sketches, songs and sea-shanties, and youngsters got in the spirit for the costume competition.
Karen Chipperfield, the site’s assistant tourism manager, said: “It was wonderful to see so many children entering into the spirit of the day.”
Visiting Devon Air Ambulance mascot Ambrose was also a big hit, receiving lots of attention from the children.
The air ambulance’s collection boxes received a welcome boost on the day with proceeds of a double-run on the Beer Heights Light Railway going to the charity.
