Four plant pots are in place to lift the spirits of patients and visitors at Sidmouth Victoria Hospital after a donation from the Sid Vale Association.
The cause was chosen by way of thanks for the great care it delivers in the community, which helped its benefactor, Keith Owen.
Committee member John Townsend said: “The Keith Owen Fund is delighted to support the hospital comforts fund with financing for these new plant pots.
“The hospital provides great care for all its patients.
“Keith Owen himself benefited from this and, almost seven years ago, it is here that he passed away, leaving his great legacy for the benefit of the Sid Valley community.
“The future patients and visitors to the hospital can enjoy the colourful displays as they arrive.”
Sidmouth Victoria Hospital Comforts Fund chairman Graham Vincent thanked the Keith Owen Fund for the pots and praised its work in the community.
He also thanked Sidmouth Garden Centre manager Ian Barlow for filling them with bulbs, pansies and fir trees.
The four pots cost £75 each and have been placed outside the hospital reception.
