Plea to bouncers over Ebdon Court

Nightclub bouncers could be enlisted to help battle the problem of revellers taking drugs, having sex and defecating outside the homes of Sidmouth residents.
Sergeant Andy Squires is ‘exploring the possibility’ of Carinas door staff retaining the keys to the Market Place loos to enable patrons to use them instead of Ebdon Court.
He said at Monday’s town council meeting that he is continuing to seek other sources of funding for £1,200 gates for the courtyard after members said last month they were unable to support plans for a ‘gated’ community.
Residents of Ebdon Court, off Church Street, have long complained of sleepless nights caused by people urinating, defecating, consuming drugs and alcohol, and causing criminal damage.
