OTTERY St Mary Bowling Club will hold its annual awards ceremony this month after recent flooding woes prevented it from taking place last year.
The event will go ahead on January 31 in the Tumbling Weir Hotel. Flooding at the venue stopped it from taking place the end of November.
Margaret Hunt, last year's club captain, said all the awards are engraved and ready to be handed out. She added: "They are all sat here in my loft. I may need to have a bit of a cleaning session beforehand"
"It was a great shame as we are an outdoor club and don't get to meet all the time, but we have something to look forward to before the season starts.
"Its just one of those things- a few of our members have had to move out of their homes and one is living in a caravan on their drive.
