POLICE are appealing for information after a Land Rover Discovery was stolen in Budleigh Salterton and dumped in Sidmouth.

The blue vehicle was taken from South Farm between 5pm on Tuesday, November 3 and 5.15am the following day.

It was found in a lay-by near the Bowd Inn on the A3052 on Saturday at around 9.30am.

A police spokesperson said: "We would like to hear from anybody who may know anything about the original theft or about the Land Rover being left in the lay-by."
