Police appeal after Sidmouth brawl

A BRAWL in the Lawn Vista area of Sidmouth over the Christmas period has prompted police to issue an appeal for witnesses.

Officers were called to an address at the street on Wednesday, December 24 following several reports from concerned residents.

Exmouth police arrested three men on suspicion of ABH following the disturbance just after midnight.

One of the men, suffering from cuts to the head, facial injuries and bruising, was believed to be hit on the head by a bottle.

An ambulance was called to the scene to treat the injured man and a police van was requested to take the men were then taken to Exeter Police Station for investigation.

Honiton CID are now dealing with the incident and are asking anyone who witnessed the alleged assault to contact them on 08452 777444 quoting crime reference number KS/08/855.

There was a second incident in Lawn Vista which took place on Saturday, December 27 at 2.40am.

Police were called to the rear courtyard of a different address after reports of a disturbance.

A man was arrested on the scene and taken to Exeter Police Station.
