Police are appealing for information after cash was stolen from a van parked in Sidmouth High Street yesterday (Wednesday).

The driver of the blue and white Mercedes Atego had stopped to go in to the market between 11.45am and noon, and returned to find the driver’s door open and money missing.

A force spokesperson said: “Businesses are asked to advise staff of this incident and be mindful of leaving items of value in unattended vehicles.”

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police on 101 or email general.enquiries@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk.
