Police were called to a family home in Ottery after reports an intruder had entered their house in the middle of the night.

Officers were sent to an address in Winters Lane at around 1am on Sunday, November 5.

A police spokesowman said: “The reporting persons advised that a man with the following description was seen in the house and had then left.

“The man was in his 30s or 40s, with cropped dirty blond hair, moustache and bearded, think and of a short build. He was wearing a blue coat.

“Officers carried our searches and did not locate male.”
