TWO Community Support Officers were taken to hospital following a road collision in Sidmouth this week.
The crash, involving the police car and another vehicle, happened on Woolbrook Road at the junction of Lidl just before 7pm on Tuesday.
Two PCSOs were treated for minor injuries at hospital but were released on the same day.
The police car, which was not in blue light mode, was badly damaged and is being repaired in the police vehicle workshop.

Officers are investigating the cause of the accident. A police spokesman said they could not comment at this time.
