Police plea over Sidmouth perfume pilferer
BRAVE staff at Sidmouth’s Boots store challenged a perfume thief who fled with �86 of goods last weekend.
BRAVE staff at Sidmouth’s Boots store challenged a perfume thief who fled with �86 of goods last weekend.
Police this week reissued an appeal for witnesses and information over the theft on Saturday, October 16, at around 2pm.
A force spokesperson said a man stole two bottles of perfume from a display case before evading staff and fleeing down Fore Street into New Street.
The offender was described as was described as white, of skinny build, aged between 20 and 25, and around 5ft 7in tall, with spiky black hair. He was wearing a white top and carrying a Lidl carrier bag.

Sidmouth Sergeant Andy Turner last week urged any shoppers who saw suspicious activity in the store, or residents who have been offered Armani products at a knock-down price, to come forward.
