POP icon Geri Halliwell, her daughter Bluebell and new amour Henry Beckwith, made a forced landing in Sidmouth on Friday, when their helicopter flight was cut short by sea fog.

Henry landed on the lawn of Peak House, home to Tony and Marilyn Barlow, around 2pm, as the fog lowered.

They were on their way to Thurlstone, South Devon, and his family home.

"We saw it was foggy and heard the noise of a helicopter flying low," said Marilyn.

"We got up to see it fly past the window and saw it landing on the lawn.

"We went out onto the grass and saw Geri get out and she came and apologised for intruding.

"She said who she was and asked who we were."

Marilyn said Henry, London socialite cousin of 'It' girl Tamara Beckwith, was piloting the Colibri Hummingbird white and blue five-seater helicopter, which also contained Bluebell's Philippino nanny.

"They took Bluebell to see the cows, which came charging across to see what was happening," said Marilyn.

"We offered them a chance to come inside. He was on the 'phone and said the weather was not forecast to get better and he would have to pick up the helicopter in the morning."

"I told them there was a 500 landing fee!" Tony Barlow quipped. "I came in and rang for a taxi. We offered them tea but they wanted to get a move on."

Former Ginger Spice from the iconic Spice Girls, Geri was dressed in jeans and a mushroom-coloured jacket, while Bluebell, three, wore a pink and white dress with red shoes.

"We gave her some sweeties and she said "I want to live here Mummy," added Marilyn. "Geri seemed very ordinary and not at all snooty.

"She and Henry were very lovey-dovey but very down to earth and apologetic for the intrusion."

"She certainly put a bit of spice into my life," added Tony, who said this was the third time a helicopter had landed in his garden.
