Sidmouth RBL chairman to lay wreath at Mary Tindall’s grave
WREATH: A poppy wreath will be laid on the Sidmouth grave of Mary Gertrude Tindall, on Friday, November 11, by Dave O’Connor, chairman of Sidmouth branch of the Royal British Legion. Mary was a Red Cross nurse during World War One, who died, aged 37, in 1917, and is the only woman commemorated on war memorials inside Sidmouth Parish Church.
