England cricketer and local lad Dom Bess has finally been able to kit out his new house with the help of a Sidmouth business.
The Sidmouth born player had been stumped previously trying to furnish his home after aborting a shopping trip at IKEA when he found out he would be making his England debut back in May.
The 21-year-old was contacted by Potburys of Sidmouth to come and browse round the store and this time was able to make it to the checkout with a new sofa and footstall.
Somerset Cricket Club spinner Domsaid: “This time around without any phone calls to distract me and with assistance from the helpful staff at Potburys I was finally able to find a sofa for my new house.
“I’m really pleased with my choice and grateful to Potburys for their kind gesture.”
Michael Lee, Potburys’ managing director, added: “It’s fantastic for Sidmouth to see its home grown young sporting talent gain national recognition so as a key business in the town it was a pleasure to help Dom furnish his new home.”
