Power cut leaves 1,200 Sidmouth homes without power

More than 1,200 households were left without electricity after a power cut today.

A wear and tear fault with an underground cable left residents in the town without electricity for about an hour, in between 5.30am and 6.30am.

Western Power Distribution have been out fixing the fault and are due to finish works around midday tomorrow.
