‘Prince’ visits Branscombe supper
Diners at Branscombe Village Hall enjoyed a North African supper as part of celebrations for Amnesty.
The East Devon Amnesty group is in its 21st year of charity suppers, providing three courses of exotic flavours before diners were surprised and entertained by the unexpected arrival of Prince Mohammad Muhallabia, Special Envoy from Tunisia.
Alec Fellowes Bennett ably played the part of the Prince, looking for a house to relocate certain exiled leaders in a satire on the political situation in North Africa.
Over 120 diners attended the event on April 2 and raised more than 1.300 for the charity, which fights torture, oppression and human rights abuses worldwide
