GUIDES in Sidmouth are producing puddings and cakes with a Caribbean flavour so guides in Anguilla can build an internet café.

Leader Sandra Chapman is making a special cake "with a secret recipe" for 1st Sidmouth Guides' Pudding Party at the guide hut, Lawn Vista, on Friday, June 19.

Some 16 guides will parade their puddings before slicing them up.

Tickets for the evening, which runs from 7.30pm to 9pm, are £2, and are available from Sandra (01404) 814528.

"The girls are selling them at school as well," she said. "You don't need to be a guide."

The Guides' Changed the World project raises funds for guiding.
