CCTV images of two men wanted in connection with a double-decker bus joyriding incident in Sidmouth have been released to the public.
Two buses were taken without permission from the Temple Street bus station in the early hours of March 2.
It is believed the thieves then raced the buses down the snowy street and crashed one of them into The Volunteer Inn, which has recently undergone a £180,000 refurbishment. The other vehicle was left outside the police station. The pair then fled the scene.
Neighbourhood Team Leader Sgt Andy Squires has released CCTV images from within the bus at the time of the incident.
Sgt Squires said: “Police wish to identify these two people in connection with a bus joy ride in Temple Street in Sidmouth on 1st March, during the snow.”
He asked anyone who had any information about them to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting CR/018138/18.
