A SERIES of road-shows, aimed at allaying concerns over major refuse and recycling changes in and around Sidmouth and Ottery St Mary, will take place this month.
A SERIES of road-shows, aimed at allaying concerns over major refuse and recycling changes in and around Sidmouth and Ottery St Mary, will take place this month.
Wheelie- bins, "gull sacks" and food-waste containers have been dished out to residents in both towns recently as part of a bid by East Devon District Council to increase its recycling rates and reduce waste going to landfill.
New collection practises, which will see weekly recycling pick-ups, will take place from June.
Advice over the change will be available on the following road-show dates at the following locations:
- Saturday, May 9, Ottery St Mary, Hind Street car park, from 10am to 4pm.
- Monday, May 11, Sidmouth, Ham Car park, 12noon to 8pm.
- Tuesday, May 12, Tipton St John, Village Hall, 2pm to 4pm.
- Wednesday, May 13, Newton Poppleford, Village Hall, 10am to 12noon. .
- Wednesday, May 13, West Hill, Village Hall, 5pm to 7pm.
- Thursday, May, 14, Otterton, Kings Arms car park, 10am to 12noon.
- Friday, May 15, Sidbury, Village Hall, 10am to 12noon.
- Friday, May 15, Branscombe, Village Hall, 2pm to 4pm.
