‘Problems’ at a reservoir have been blamed for homes being left without water across a swathe of Sidmouth.
Residents in the seaside town bemoaned being left without a supply and complained to South West Water at about 5.30pm yesterday (Thursday).
A spokesman apologised to customers affected by the disruption to their water supplies, but was unable to say how many households had been hit.
He said yesterday evening: “Our technicians are working to resolve the problem as soon as possible.”
The company repoted water was restored at 10pm but residents were still complaining of being without it at 10.30pm.
