WEST Hill lost its fifth town-council representative in 18 months last week when it was revealed Tony Howard has resigned from his post.
Mr Howard, who sat on Ottery town council for 13 months, said he had "overstretched" himself with a "raft" of voluntary activities and the demands on his time led to him relinquishing his civic duties.
Ottery town council is now keen to fill two vacancies which exist for the West Hill ward.
Anybody from the parish can apply for the post by contacting the town council offices in Broad Street on (01404) 812252.
The closing date for submissions is Thursday, May 21.
