Sidmouth’s market hall re-opened on Wednesday after a three week closure for renovation work.
The family-run market, opposite Fields in the centre of town, is home to a fishmongers and greengrocers, who sell local produce sourced from the Sid Valley.
“We’ve been closed since Christmas Eve to get the painters in and it has been completely redecorated inside,” said Wendy Taylor, who has operated the fishmongers for the past 33 years. “The building has had a major facelift and now we’re looking forward to re-opening after a bit of time off.”
