A POPULAR Sidmouth Herald columnist has seen his weekly contributions published in a heavenly compilation.
Methodist minister the Reverend Allan Bowers is best known to our readers as the author of the weekly Religion column on page two.
He is also a published author and his fifth title, Herald of God, features 60 of his pieces on topics ranging from love and forgiveness to understanding and sorrow. Mr Bowers says his contributions to the Herald have been ‘appreciated’ by the public – and he is often stopped in the street.
The 80-year-old says the pieces have even created interest with agnostics and atheists.
“It’s wonderful we are able to do this in the Herald,” said Mr Bowers. The book will be officially launched tomorrow (Saturday, November 2) from 10.30am to noon at Sidmouth Methodist Church Hall.
