An acoustic rock, soul, funk and blues duo brought the house down as part of their Sidmouth Folk Week performance.
Marnie, which is made up of Marnie and Jon Maybey, performed at The Anchor Garden on Friday, as part of the annual event.
The event was attended by several hundred people who all enjoyed spine tingling vocals, driving guitar riffs and live loops.
Marnie provided the vocals, played a rhythm and a 12 string guitar as well as the percussion while Jon was on lead guitar, the mandolin and backup vocals.
The pair owned the stage from the onset wowing audiences with an array of covers and original songs that had everybody’s feet tapping and heads nodding.
Their terrific use of foot pedals and other gadgets really proved that you do not need to be in a large band to get the full-range of sounds needed to blow your audience away.
All in all Marnie provided first class entertainment which was original and unique.
Their performance and skills on their instruments were on point and provided the beautiful melodies needed to complemented Marnie’s incredible singing voice.
If you ever get a chance to see this original duo in action we would highly recommend it.
