PIG FARM PLAN: A revised application has been made to build a pig farm in Venn Ottery. The original plan for a pig unit at land west of Collyhead Farm was rejected by East Devon District Council early last year. The new application is smaller. Residents have until March 1 to make comments ahead of scrutiny by Ottery Town Council and a decision by EDDC.


REDROW HOMES PLAN: An Ottery Town Council planning meeting to discuss a 130-home application by Redrow Homes to build behind Butts Lane has been moved to the Ottery Football Club. It will now take place at 7.30pm on Tuesday, February 28, in the clubhouse at Washbrook Meadows, to allow as many locals as possible to attend and make their views heard ahead of the council’s recommendation on the plans. The deadline for puiblic comments is February 24.
