PEOPLE turned up in their droves to take part in this year's annual RNLI sponsored walk on Sunday.

The ten mile walk, which started at Sutton Thorn and finished at the White Hart in Colyford, was well attended despite cold weather conditions.

Walkers stopped at The Kingfisher in Colyton to re-charge their batteries before continuing with the walk.

Wendy Cummins, who organised the event, has requested that people who took part should collect their sponsor money by December 18.

A circular five mile walk has been arranged for Sunday, November 9 for those who could not take part in the ten mile walk.

This will begin at Chantry Bridge, Colyton following the River Coly and lanes around the valley, finishing at The Kingfisher.
