The B3180 is currently closed in both directions due to an accident.
At 8.47am police reported there was slow traffic due to an accident on the road between Bendarroch Road and the A30 at Daisymount Cross.
An update shortly after noon reported the road was still closed and traffic slow moving.
Western Power were called to the scene since 8.20am to replace a fallen power cable damaged in the accident.
A company spokeswoman said: “It is affecting five customers who are offline at the moment. Unfortunately we have to replace the pole and restring the lines. Our estimated time of restoration is 5pm.”
